Experiencing a particular scale satiates a need we have for a desired emotion, which produces a cathartic effect on the self.

This scale is incredibly versatile to play, hence it being one of the most popular sound models for handpans. It is idyllic in nature, and creates an open landscape of atmosphere for the player. Great for beginners and the most requested Atlas choice to date.
The Celtic Minor or Amara is based on the scale that is common in traditional Celtic music. Suitable for beginners, this scale makes for a dependable, versatile and incredible enjoyable scale to compose on.
The Hijaz scale, known for its unique sound because of the step between the 1st and 2nd, has a spicy feel to it. May it be a thousand arabian nights, creating sounds with melliflous tension, transcribing emotions of a deep and avocative nature, then this one is for you.

Atmospheric, transcendent.. this scale transports the players and listener into a meditative state. Perfect for rhythmic playing. With the 7th not present, it creates a mystical, other worldly sound.
